American Property Construction to Build a New Facility
for the Dance Institute of Washington
Through dance training, performing arts education,
and performance opportunities, the Dance Institute of Washington makes
arts education available and affordable in under-served communities, where
access to this type of training is limited or non-existent. At its new
location to be built by APC, DIW will broaden its outreach to the Latino
and Asian American communities of Columbia Heights and nearby Adams Morgan.
The two-story 16,500 square-feet facility will include 3,500 square-feet
dance studio space, a dance supply boutique, and a 5,000 square-feet child
development center. It is scheduled to open Fall 2005
